941 Tiles ("the App") is a window management app for macOS, developed by 941 Apps LLC. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Summary: 941 Tiles collects no personal information. It sends only anonymous crash and usage diagnostics, which you can turn off. Everything else stays on your Mac.

Data We Do NOT Collect

941 Tiles does not:

  • Collect any personal information
  • Read window contents or record which documents you work on
  • Access your files or documents
  • Record which applications you use

How Windows Are Arranged

941 Tiles is fully sandboxed and arranges windows through its companion Shortcut — Apple's supported mechanism for App Store apps. During setup you install the Shortcut once and approve one automation prompt. From then on:

  • Reading layout: 941 Tiles reads on-screen window positions and sizes from macOS to build its menu and compute the grid
  • Moving windows: Apple's Shortcuts system performs the actual window arrangement using Apple's own Move Window and Resize Window actions
  • Optional swipe gesture: if you set it up, 941 Tiles asks for Input Monitoring so it can notice two-finger swipes on window title bars. It listens for scroll gestures only, never keystrokes, and nothing it sees leaves your Mac

This happens only when you explicitly request it (or per-app with Watch mode, which you enable yourself). 941 Tiles does not read window contents or keep a record of what you do.

Local Operation

Arranging your windows happens entirely on your device. There are:

  • No accounts
  • No advertising and no tracking
  • No network connections other than the anonymous diagnostics described below
  • Nothing stored beyond your settings, keyboard shortcuts, saved layouts and the window sizes the app has learned, all kept on your Mac

Third-Party Services

941 Tiles contains no third-party SDKs and no advertising or analytics services. The anonymous diagnostics are processed on infrastructure we run on Cloudflare, and are never sold or shared with anyone else.

Children's Privacy

941 Tiles does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date and notify users through the app.

Anonymous App Diagnostics

To keep 941 Tiles reliable, the app sends us a small amount of anonymous diagnostic and usage data: crash reports and counts of feature use (for example, “windows were tiled”). They contain no window titles, no app names and nothing about what is in your windows. Each installation uses a random ID so we can tell one copy of the app from another; it is not tied to your name, your Apple Account or your Mac's hardware. We also keep the approximate place a report came from (city level), worked out when it arrives; your IP address is not stored. The data is processed on our own infrastructure (Cloudflare), used solely to fix crashes and improve the app, and never shared or sold. You can turn this off any time in the About window; the switch takes effect immediately, and the records stored under that ID are deleted.
